Boulevard of broken dreams.....

I can see someone smiling, few too busy on their phones, and a friend with broken heart. Later, happens to many, in a big city like Bangalore. “Badhi badhi sehron, main aisi chooti batien hoti raheti hai”.
It’s all about a guy, adi. I met him after a long gap of 4 years; I remember meeting him last time at our engineering counseling, we became good friends. When I joined a trivia tech(name changed) recently, I saw him again at the company's food court. I was really surprised to see him, here. But, this time, he didn’t have the same radiance and glow in his face. All this was due to someone. It is why he lost all:

Adi had joined the company couple of months, on July 08. It was his first day, that day, where he had to attend the BASIC training. He was late, thus he had to seat beside some girls, as it was only seat that was left empty. As, the class started, it was all about C, which he had studied before joining the company, from the material provided. So, it was time for him to have a look around, to have a good idea about what’s around.
It was for first time, he saw her (he told not mention her name); she was not the best, but better than the rest. J It became a routine for him, whenever, he entered the class, his eyes searched for her. His eyes knew, what his heart wanted to look at, but she never noticed. It continued for whole weekdays, unlike other when he got his first weekends, he was not happy enough. In contrary, he was waiting for Monday to come, to have a glance of her. Nothing happened during BASIC training, it was all one sided. But, god showed him a way.
It was during the second training program i.e. corporate training, when he got to interact with her, once. Corporate training went for 3 days, during when there were many occasions, when their eyes went across each other’s, passed smiles at each other. Her smiles had raided in his hearts territory (don’t know, it was for good or bad). But, it was the last day; they had an activity, in which they had to tell others, their good qualities. It was moment not to be missed by him. Adi went and told her that she had a beautiful smile. It was then, when he heard first words from her. She told that he looked more serious, but he was cooler than she thought. He had a smile, as he told about this moment. I could feel him.
Later, they use to talk to each other. It was like a happy days for him. The training was going on. They use to meet, during breaks, as they were in different streams (he mentioned many things, but I can’t capture those emotions, so.). They became good friends, that I would say; but adi always admired her. They became talk of the town, as a best friend. Adi made sure that, he never missed a moment with her. Whenever, he saw her alone, he uses to rush to her. It went on, until the god played his dirty game.
They had joined their respective projects, so he couldn’t see her anymore. It went on for a week, one day he saw her at the food court. He was overjoyed to see her, it was then he noticed that she was with someone. He just wanted to test her, so he went and sat next to her. He knew that she saw him, but she didn’t even look at him. He was now invisible to her. Till today, he never had a word with her, as she never gave a look at her. He is like a wandering soul in the campus, searching for his body. Anyway, he is not a devdas, but he really cries for her (I didn’t see him, I guess).
In the end, I really don’t know what he felt for her. Was it a love or just an infatuation? What really she thought about her, but at last I have a friend with a broken heart.
“Jaane woh kaise, log teh jinke Pyaar ko Pyaar mila”.
